Q: What made you choose Alliant?

RAQUEL ANSWER: We’re only in our second year and it feels like it was so long ago. I was Googling different PsyD programs. I'm from San Francisco so I specifically wanted to go home for school, and I probably found it that way.

JUJHAR ANSWER: I did the same thing. I was looking for exciting programs around me and I found the one that was closest to me which is the San Francisco Bay Area program.

Q: Are there any highlights of the program so far?

RAQUEL ANSWER: One of my favorite parts are the different practicum opportunities and the internship. I’m really excited about an opportunity at San Quentin for a practicum opportunity because that’s the route I'm hoping to go to within my career.

JUJHAR ANSWER: I love the faculty-to-cohort ratio. I think it’s one of the best in the country. There’s so much faculty ready to serve you and work with you. We're working with so much faculty even here at the APA Conference and it's very refreshing to have so much access. Shout out to Dr. Andrew Bertagnolli and Dr. Tai Chang who I'm presenting with tomorrow!

RAQUEL ANSWER: Speaking on that, we also have access to other campuses. It's a tight knit community within Alliant so to be able to reach out to a professor at the Los Angeles or San Diego campus if we wanted to get some more advice or just talk to them is really plausible.
